Snack

Snack

To keep the children energized throughout their day in Kindergarten, each morning, the students have a small snack.  The school supplies milk and we ask that parents furnish a simple snack for the class on a rotating basis.  We will send home a calendar for each month letting you know which day you will be responsible for providing a snack for your child’s class.

                           Mrs. Breitlow’s Class – 17 children

                         Mrs. Meisegeier’s Class – 19 children

It is important to have the snack at school in the morning of the day you are scheduled, because that is the time of day we have our snack.  The snacks definitely don’t have to be fancy – just crackers, pretzels, popcorn, cookies, raw veggies, fruit, or something similar would be just fine.  The healthier the better!  Please have the snacks pre-portioned for the number of children in the classroom.

If, from time to time, you would like to donate some juice boxes for snack time, we would be very appreciative!  Thanks in advance!

Many parents have also sent in a special birthday treat on their child’s birthday as well. In light of the new District Wellness Policy & government mandates, it is time to get creative about how we celebrate birthdays.  You may want to consider sending in a small gift for each child (pencils, erasers, rings, etc.) that your child can pass out to their friends to commemorate their special day.
